Social Initiatives

We place a strong emphasis on people and their well-being. This includes prioritising our client's needs through meaningful engagement, creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture, and promoting employee satisfaction and a healthy work-life balance. We believe in giving back to the community through philanthropic initiatives, volunteerism, and creating opportunities for others. By supporting local communities and clubs, such as Sundays Well Rebels, we are promoting social impact. Our aim is to contribute to a better society.

An Cosán

In partnership with An Cosán, a Dublin-based organisation focused on adult education and social inclusion, we’re proud to support women from disadvantaged communities by offering meaningful work experience opportunities in our Dublin office. This initiative helps to empower women by building their confidence, professional skills, and their access to future employment, aligning with our belief that everyone deserves the chance to grow and succeed.

Cope Foundation

We’ve joined hands with Cope Foundation to provide work experience opportunities for young people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. By participating in this programme, we’re helping to create a more inclusive workforce and break down barriers to employment. These placements not only offer valuable real-world experience for participants, but also enrich our own teams with a new perspectives and meaningful connections.

Charitable Donations

Every year, our team selects five charities that resonate with them personally. Through our donation scheme, we contribute to each cause and then Contracting PLUS match those donations to double the impact. In 2024, our supported charities included the Down Syndrome Centre Cork, Cork Cancer Care, the Cork and Dublin Simon Community, and Cork Penny Dinners. This initiative gives our team a real voice in how we give back and ensures our contributions go where they matter most.

We also run mini-fundraisers throughout the year to support various causes including the Cork and Dublin Simon Community, Outhouse LGBT Centre, The Hope Foundation, and Children’s Health Foundation and Hope for the Homeless. These smaller efforts help us stay connected to important local and national causes throughout the year.

Elephant in the Room

At Contracting PLUS, mental health and wellbeing are not just workplace issues, they’re human ones. That’s why we proudly support the Elephant in the Room movement, an important initiative focused on ending the stigma around mental health in the workplace and beyond.

As part of this commitment, we’ve purchased an Elephant Footprint Plaque, a visible and lasting declaration of our dedication to prioritising mental wellbeing for our people, our clients, and all independent professionals. It’s a promise to keep the conversation going, to provide space for openness, and to create a culture where people feel seen and supported.

Diversity & Equality

Inclusion is more than a policy at Contracting PLUS, it’s a core part of who we are. We actively promote equal opportunities across our organisation and are proud to maintain a strong female presence in leadership and across our workforce. We also host educational webinars on important topics such as menopause, LGBTQ+ inclusion, disability awareness, and cultural understanding. These initiatives ensure our team feels seen, heard, and supported no matter their background or identity.

Sustainable Work Practices

We believe sustainability goes beyond the environment, it includes how we communicate, collaborate, and support one another at work. That’s why we’re investing in internal knowledge-sharing tools, such as a centralised Q&A knowledge bank that enables team members to access cross-departmental insights quickly and easily. These kinds of improvements help build transparency, reduce silos, and empower our teams to work smarter, together.
