Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Director.

About the Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, ensuring
the smooth and compliant operation of our financial processes. This role offers full
ownership and autonomy over the financial compliance of our operations, reporting
directly to our Finance Director. You will be responsible for maintaining financial
records, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting key financial reporting
functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all primary accounting records, company secretarial documents and
  files in an orderly manner for management companies, director holding
  companies and investment holding companies.
• Prepare journal entries for posting to Xero.
• Ensure the timely preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Handle the timely preparation of annual returns.
• Prepare fund quarterly management accounts, including balance sheet
  reconciliations.
• Liaise with external tax consultants for the preparation of corporation tax
  returns.
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinate with
  external auditors.
• Prepare regulatory accounts as required.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA/ACCA
• Strong interest in business, entrepreneurship and private equity.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
  (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
  effectively across teams.
• Initiative-driven with the ability to work independently and take ownership of
  tasks.
• Experience in a Private Equity firm is an add on.
• Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
