On May 12th 2017, with the support of our colleagues and friends we recently held our Spring Gala Clayton Hotel, Cork. The aim of the night was to raise funds to cover the insurances for “Join Me In Helping Corks Homeless innovative Day Bus”project.
The project is to convert a double decker bus that was donated to the charity into a Day Bus that will be used to give the Homeless somewhere to drop off during the day, have a sleep and a shower. It will be based in Cork city centre and it will be a big help for the homeless in getting into shelters and for the days the shelters may not be open.
With music on the night from the wonderful Kevin Kramer band followed by a DJ until late. We also held a raffle on the night which was hosted by the wonderful Bibi Baskin. In which, we had some fantastic prizes donated from local companies such as Castlemartyr Resort, Cork Airport Hotel, Metropole Hotel, Luigi Malones, Fota Island, Neville Jewellers and many more.
